Primary uses of ferrous fumarate, folic acid, vitamin B12, and zinc tablets are as follows.
Ferrous Fumarate: Source of iron. It also helps to treat iron-deficiency anemia by boosting hemoglobin levels.
Folic Acid: Required for red blood cell production and DNA synthesis. Prevents neural tube defects in pregnancy.
Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin): Supports nerve health and red blood cell formation and treats megaloblastic anemia.
Zinc Sulphate: Boosts immune function, aids wound healing, and supports growth and development.
1 tablet once a day or as directed by healthcare professionals.
For oral use only. Swallow the tablet with water, preferably between meals. However, in case of gastric upset, the tablet should be taken after meals.
The most common undesirable effects are gastrointestinal, which include abdominal pain, heartburn, nausea, vomiting, constipation or diarrhea (iron intake related), dark stools (iron excretion related), gastric irritation, and gastritis (zinc related). Rarely may cause allergic reactions, specifically erythema, skin rash, or itching.
The recommended dosage must not be exceeded.
Caution should be exercised in person with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
Use cautiously in case of acute gastrointestinal pathologies.
